Changing Careers in a Shaky Economy

Almost every home, office building, hospital, school, skyscraper, manufacturing plant and warehouse in Arizona has some kind of climate control system in place to regulate the indoor temperature, control humidity, or ventilate the area. These systems are essential to the well-being and work environment of the people inside of them, and they must run properly. Older systems are very different from today’s computer-controlled climate systems, but all of them need to operate as intended regardless of age or technology.

Climate control is an expanding field, and many businesses and homeowners are upgrading to the new more efficient systems as the cost of energy goes up. Heating and cooling professionals will always be needed to maintain and repair new and older equipment, so entering a heating college or trade school that offers HVAC training may be a good choice for a viable career in a growing industry.

If you are considering changing jobs because of the economy or for any reason, RSI’s Arizona heating school has air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating programs that suit new high school grads or busy adults who are looking to go back to school.

Heating and Cooling Retraining

RSI’s Cooling and Heating School in Phoenix trains students to maintain and repair a wide variety of climate control systems. Our trade school exposes them to old and new technology while teaching necessary techniques in climate control maintenance and installation.

Training is a combination of lecture and hands-on experience to prepare students for entry-level jobs in the heating and cooling industry. Our AZ air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating course use the E-STAR system, created by RSI, to help students learn how to troubleshoot and diagnose common electrical problems in climate control equipment. The E-STAR system is programmed to simulate common electrical problems encountered in the field. The student then has an opportunity to diagnose and correct the problem within a designated time limit, similar to the type of situation they would find in a real-world environment.

Students enrolled in our air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating program can graduate in as little as 9 months. Working adults who are looking to retrain themselves to fit into a new economy can opt for our evening classes and graduate in 13 months. Our faculty is well trained, experienced experts in their fields. They are dedicated to providing you with a quality education you can use from the moment you finish the air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating course.
