About this Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements: Financial Need, GED/Adult Hight School Graduate
StrataTech Education Group is the parent company of Tulsa Welding School. The group supports the skilled trades through vocational training programs and scholarships to help TWS students fund their educational investment.
What is it?
- This scholarship program is designed to show StrataTech Education Group’s commitment to supporting adversity in our students’ path to their careers. To do this, STEG is providing tuition assistance for furthering the education of those who have successfully completed an adult High School Diploma alternative within 6 months preceding their enrollment with any STEG program. The criterion outlined below has been designed to give the Scholarship Awarding Committee maximum flexibility in awarding the scholarship. Recipients will be selected without regard to race, sex, color, creed, religious preference, age, national origin, or disability.
When is it?
- Applications must be submitted prior to starting classes.
Who can apply?
To be awarded the scholarship, students must:
- have obtained a valid proof of graduation received through an alternative High School program (GED/Adult High School) within 6 months prior to enrollment;
- be enrolled to a STEG program offered at any STEG School;
- complete a Scholarship Request Form;
- apply for and accept all available agency, state, and/or federal student aid before requesting consideration for this scholarship program
- demonstrate financial need as determined by the Tuition Planning process;
- have no lapse in proper registration or break in attendance; and
- maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.
How to apply?
Students must complete a request form and submit it to the Scholarship Selection Committee to be considered. Of the requests received, each will be reviewed for completeness and accuracy of all information provided. Of those eligible requests, the awards will be distributed based on the awarding process and rules.
This scholarship program is based on the enrolled student’s start date. If a student changes their start date, the scholarship award may be forfeited.
