About this Scholarship
Troy Industrial Solutions (TIS) is a family-owned business, founded in 1862 as a provider of leather belting and supplies for industrial machinery used in mills, mines and factories located in the northeastern part of the US. Still a leader in the belting industry, evolving over time, TIS became known as the premiere full-service and sales provider with experienced problem solvers, providing industrial solutions and supporting maintenance, manufacturing, custom metal fabrication and engineering to keep industry running.
What is it?
- This year’s Troy Industrial Solutions Manufacturing Scholarship recipient will receive a $1000.00 financial award to be used towards earning a certificate or educational credential at any college, vocational, or trade school in the United States. Funds can be used for tuition, fees, books, equipment, or tools used in this endeavor.
When is it?
- The deadline to submit an application for consideration is April 1st, 2025
Who can apply?
- Graduating HS Seniors who plan to enroll full-time in the fall semester of 2025.
- Must submit a 500-word essay demonstrating why interested in pursuing a career in manufacturing, mechanical engineering, welding, CNC machining, or electromechanical technology
- Must provide a letter(s) of recommendation from a teacher, employer or mentor supporting the field of interest selection.
