RSI offers five unique trade programs that can be completed in months rather than years. Once you graduate, you can start working as a trade professional in the Tucson and Sedona area. HVAC/R

Our HVAC/R programs prepare you to work with heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. Courses focus on the fundamentals, supplemented by hands-on learning in repairing and maintaining HVAC and refrigeration systems. The HVAC/R programs RSI offers include:

Refrigeration Technologies –you will learn to install, repair, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems in as little as 6 months. In this program, you will learn the fundamentals of electricity and refrigeration, comfort systems for residential and commercial applications, and advanced troubleshooting techniques to diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems.

Electro-Mechanical Technologies –you will gain a broad knowledge in electrical and mechanical technologies including heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration. This 9-month program focuses on the fundamentals of electricity, electrical wiring, HVAC systems, and solar-powered systems.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineering – a 15-month degree program that teaches you the principles and fundamentals of air, motors, piping systems, transformers, cooling towers, chillers, and boilers. At the end of the program, you will be able to troubleshoot many issues and perform preventative maintenance on various residential and commercial electro-mechanical technologies.

Electrical Applications

This 7-month program will teach you about electrical applications and the fundamentals of mechanical and electrical applications, wiring, communication systems, motors, lighting, electrical devices, and solar energy. At the end of the program, you will be ready to become an electrician apprentice and start your journey in this lifelong career.

Welding

This 7-month program offers welding training in many different welding techniques. The training includes welding, brazing, soldering, and cutting metal and other structural materials. You will also prepare for the welding certification exam the American Welding Society (AWS)1 offers. During this program, you will also use advanced virtual reality technology that will help you learn how to weld in a safe environment while receiving instant feedback on your welding technique.
